Space-Saving | Freeze-Protected | Long-Lasting Durability

BDF Underground Water Storage Tanks typically refer to Bolted Steel Tanks (BST) with Dual Folded (DF) steel panels.

These underground tanks offer numerous advantages compared to above-ground alternatives. Primarily, they remain hidden from view, conserving valuable land space. Additionally, being situated underground protects them from freezing temperatures, contributing to their long-lasting durability.

Applications

1. Municipal Water Supply

BDF Underground Water Storage Tanks are frequently utilized to hold potable water for municipal supply systems. They can collect water from local sources or function as reservoirs, ensuring a consistent provision of clean water to communities.

2. Industrial Water Storage

Industries demand substantial volumes of water for diverse operations, including manufacturing, cooling, and cleaning. BDF water tanks offer a dependable solution for on-site industrial water storage, facilitating uninterrupted production activities.

3. Agricultural Irrigation

Water is essential for agricultural irrigation. BDF water tanks can effectively store water for irrigation, enabling farmers to optimize water distribution, especially in regions with limited or seasonal water availability.

4. Wastewater Treatment

BDF Underground Water Storage Tanks are also employed in wastewater treatment plants to hold treated water prior to its discharge or reuse. These tanks assist in regulating the flow of treated water and ensuring adherence to environmental standards.

5. Fire Protection

BDF water tanks can act as reservoirs for fire protection systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. They store water that can be rapidly accessed during fire emergencies.

6. Emergency Water Supply

In areas vulnerable to natural disasters or where access to clean water is restricted, BDF water tanks can store emergency water supplies — a reliable water source during hurricanes, earthquakes, or droughts.

7. Mining and Construction

Mining and construction operations often require significant water for dust control, equipment cooling, and concrete mixing. BDF water tanks can be installed on-site to provide water for these essential applications.

Structure and Benefits

BDF Underground Water Storage Tanks are designed for the collection and retention of rainwater below the surface. Their ribbed structure allows for burial, providing stability and support to the surrounding soil.

The cool, dark conditions within these tanks reduce the likelihood of algae and microbial growth, making them an ideal choice for storing rainwater intended for reuse in buildings.

Subterranean water storage tanks are versatile, capable of holding wastewater, graywater, rainwater, stormwater, and even potable water. Furthermore, they can be equipped with filtration systems to remove oil and other pollutants, allowing the collected rainwater to be repurposed for landscaping and various other uses.

Installation and Acceptance

  1. Maintenance Space: Leave a maintenance passage of not less than 700 mm between the tank and the wall. The top and bottom of the tank should be not less than 500 mm from surrounding structures.

  2. Civil Construction: Piers should be made first. The joints between the water tank and the bottom unit plates should be located on the buttress.

  3. Water Leakage Test: After assembly, close the outlet pipe and drain pipe, open the inlet pipe, and fill with water. 24-hour water leakage is acceptable as a standard test.
